The terms and conditions governing your use of Canvane
2026/07/28
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Canvane (the "Service"), operated by Canvane ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Cookie Policy form part of these Terms.
Canvane is an AI video generation platform. You write a prompt, choose a model and output settings, and the Service generates a video.
Canvane is an independent product. We build the interface, workspace, credit system, and account features; the videos themselves are produced by third-party AI models we integrate, including Seedance, Kling, and Veo. Canvane is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Kuaishou, ByteDance, or any other model provider. All third-party product names, logos, and brands remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Because generation depends on these third-party models, model availability, capabilities, pricing, and output quality may change without notice.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Accounts are created through Google or GitHub sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you sign in with and for all activity under your Canvane account. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly at support@canvane.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
One person or entity per account. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Read it — it is the operative list of what you may and may not create.
In particular, and without limiting that policy, you may not use the Service to generate, attempt to generate, or distribute:
Every prompt is screened automatically before generation. Prompts that fail screening are blocked. We may also block, remove, or refuse to process content, and restrict or terminate accounts, where content or conduct creates legal, safety, or abuse risk.
Your inputs. You keep all rights you already hold in the prompts and any material you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and transmit that material solely to operate and improve the Service, including sending it to the third-party model provider needed to fulfil your request. This licence ends when you delete the material, except for copies we must retain as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your outputs. Subject to these Terms and applicable law, we assign to you whatever rights we hold in the videos generated from your prompts.
Commercial use depends on your plan:
If you downgrade or cancel, videos you generated while on a paid plan keep the commercial rights they had when generated.
What we do not promise. AI output is not unique. Other users submitting similar prompts may receive similar results, and we cannot and do not guarantee that any output is original, non-infringing, or suitable for any particular use. Copyright in AI-generated material is unsettled in many jurisdictions and may not be protectable at all. You are responsible for reviewing output before you use it, and for ensuring your use complies with applicable law and third-party rights.
Generation consumes credits. The cost of a generation depends on the model, duration, and quality you select, and is shown before you generate.
Current prices and plan entitlements are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings or the customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively cancel the current billing period, and you keep access and any credits already issued until that period ends.
If we change the price of a plan you subscribe to, we will give you notice before it takes effect. Continuing after that date means accepting the new price.
Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases made through the Service. This means Creem — not Canvane — is the seller of record for your transaction, handles payment processing, and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales tax and VAT.
Your card or bank statement and your receipt may therefore show "Creem" rather than "Canvane". Creem's terms and privacy notice apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
Purchases of digital products — subscriptions, credit packages, and one-time plans — are generally non-refundable, because access and credits are delivered immediately.
We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Email support@canvane.com with your account email and order details and we will respond within 3 business days. We are more likely to refund where the Service failed to deliver what you paid for; we are unlikely to refund credits you have already spent.
Nothing here limits mandatory rights you may have under consumer law in your jurisdiction, including any statutory right of withdrawal.
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us before initiating a chargeback — it is faster, and chargebacks may result in your account being suspended.
We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including specific models, at any time. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you and, where appropriate, offer a pro-rata refund or credit.
Generation queues, processing times, and model availability depend on third-party providers and are outside our control.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or if your use creates security, legal, or abuse risk. Where the breach is minor and curable, we will normally give you notice and an opportunity to fix it.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content licences already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or trade usage.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any output will be accurate, original, non-infringing, or fit for your purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties; in those places, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canvane will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canvane and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your prompts or uploaded material; your use of generated output; your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; or your violation of any law or third-party right.
The Service — including the Canvane name, logo, interface, design, and underlying software — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they transfer no ownership.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape, or create derivative works of the Service, or use it to build a competing product, including by using outputs as training data, except where applicable law expressly permits.
The Service depends on third parties — model providers, Creem for payments, authentication, storage, email, and analytics. Their terms and privacy practices govern their own handling of data. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their failures may affect the Service.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date and, where the change significantly affects your rights, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Questions about these Terms: support@canvane.com. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
